i'm heading out to a camp in rural texas for the freshman retreat for three days - low ropes course, swimming a lake, bad food, bonding activities with the kids, sleeping in a sleeping bag, etc.  i am told the cabins have air conditioning, though (whew).  ruby is off to a cat boarding place and is blissfully unaware at the moment (sorry, ruby).  full report to come when i return!
