i baked! for the first time in months! it was glorious. i made roasted apple spice sheet cake, and halved the recipe, baked it in a 13x9 pan, it it was still too much, leading to a little bit in the center of the cake that wasn't all the way cooked. horrors! other than that, the cake was DELISH, and the kind of thing you can eat in the morning and pretend it's breakfast. (there are apples involved!) note: this fantasy that cake is breakfast is only acceptable while on vacation.
speaking of vacation: i have enjoyed 8 days of my 32 day winter break. 32 day winter break! it's absurd. it is perhaps my only 32 day winter break ever, so i plan to enjoy it.
sunday: to atlanta!
january 2nd: to texas!
sometime around january 11th: back to north carolina!
