a sushi place near my apartment has a sign advertising "texas ramen - every thursday." WHAT DO YOU THINK TEXAS RAMEN IS?! i am so intrigued. guesses requested/required in the comments.
I feel certain Texas Ramen must have meat in it. It must also be huge. Maybe cowboy boots on a toothpick stuck in the middle. When you order it, the restaurant plays "Yellow Rose of Texas" over the loudspeakers and a crowd gathers to see to see if the person ordering can finish the gigantic plate of ramen and beef with all the fixin's in less than an hour. If so, the meal is free and the person gets an autograph picture of Big Tex.
I feel like anything that is "Texas-style" is either with barbecue sauce or some Tex-Mex variety. I attempted to Google it but IT WAS NOT GOOGLE-ABLE!
