have i proclaimed my love for verlyn klinkenborg* here? he writes about rural life for the new york times and i just love his writing style and the content - it reminds me of growing up on the farm. this essay - "a light in the barn" - is a great example of what makes his writing so good and so special - there is no dark like the dark in the country. and this man has a way with words.
