no shame
in the airport on friday i saw a man getting ready to board a flight. in addition to his very full backpack, he had decided to wear a fishing vest and use the many pockets on the vest to store additional things that wouldn't fit in his backpack. he looked ridiculous. i couldn't help but stare.

I won't lie, when I realized my suitcase was overweight en route to South Africa, I re-packed all my underwear in my purse. That was a fun trip to the newsstand on the other side of security.
